Waiting for the Plumber

As soon as we moved in we had some pipe issues. Since I couldn't make it to the studio to wet felt during this extended period of time, I used scraps from previous Calendar days and stitched them together for a series within a series entitled, Waiting for the Plumber.

The Calendar Project Catch Up, #144-166

It has been way too long since I've posted anything. Life is always crazy, but I think moving during the holiday season in addition to moving out of our apartment three weeks before moving into our new house gives me some extra room for craziness and a little bit of a reason for falling behind. We have been thoroughly enjoying the house and feel so incredibly blessed. Pictures of the house will come, but for now I am anxious to post images of my belated Calendar days. This is the group of mounted felt that I have photographed (on my new pale gray walls!) and cropped, which is a very small group compared to the total I have waiting to be photographed. Enjoy!

Fibers & Forms at the Grand Manse Gallery

The artists: Katie & Nora
On Friday, December 2, we had a great opening reception of the show "Fibers & Forms" at the Grand Manse Gallery. The show was made up of paper constructions by Nora Rolf and my own felted pieces. Many thanks to everyone who came out to see us!

My favorite piece of Nora's.
